Sofija Lekić earned her law degree from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law, graduating with an exceptional academic record (average grade 9.47). Simultaneously, she completed a degree in International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science, with an average grade of 9.26, demonstrating her strong interdisciplinary orientation and academic commitment. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Legal Theory and Philosophy of Law at the University of Belgrade, further deepening her understanding of the legal system and public policy.
Throughout her academic journey, Sofija actively engaged in legal research, international moot court competitions, and legal clinics, sharpening her analytical and advocacy skills in both domestic and international law.
Professional Background
Sofija Lekić began her legal career as an intern at the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Serbia, in the Department for Representation before the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). There, she contributed to the preparation of state submissions before the ECtHR, conducted legal research on human rights jurisprudence, and assisted in drafting action plans and implementation reports concerning ECtHR judgments.
Beyond institutional work, Sofija took part in several international academic events, including the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, where she competed in the European Friendly Rounds in Madrid and the International Rounds in Washington D.C. These experiences enriched her skills in oral argumentation, comparative legal reasoning, and international procedural law.

Since joining Stojković Attorneys, Sofija has brought a valuable perspective to the team, combining her background in human rights law, European procedures, and interdisciplinary legal theory. She actively supports the firm’s work in areas including labor law, migration and asylum, and compliance with international legal standards, particularly in cases before international bodies or involving foreign legal elements.
Her understanding of constitutional protections, equality law, and social rights equips her to work on cases requiring a human-centered legal approach. In addition, Sofija contributes to legal research, policy analysis, and strategic litigation preparation, especially where comparative legal methods and international best practices are relevant.
