James Gunn is a Special Counsellor at Stojković Attorneys.
James has over 25 years’ experience of managing corporate affairs and marketing communications programmes for organisations wishing to raise their profiles in the UK, EMEA, LatAm and SE Asia.
He leads emerging markets’ PR, lobbying and investor relations programmes from the team’s hub in Belgrade, Serbia.
James is a British citizen and, since 2008, resident of Serbia. Within SE Europe, his team coordinates a network of senior consultants to provide representation for clients in Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, including Republika Srpska, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia and Turkey.
His sector experience includes defence, government and commercial diplomacy, pharmaceuticals, mining, technology and telecoms, media, financial advisory and property.
He has also worked and undertaken education in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Thailand and Spain where he lived for extended periods.
James commenced his management consulting career in South East Asia supporting infrastructure development and environmental projects. In Serbia his mandates include European Union lobbying in the defence, infrastructure development, mining and renewable energy sectors for US, UK and Israeli companies; as well as restructuring and crisis management consulting for a Big Four audit firm.
His professional delivery of advisory services has been recognised by several public, professional and academic bodies including the Criminal Justice Board and Public Relations Consultants Association in the UK.
He is a frequent guest lecturer at leading educational institutions in the United Kingdom, Serbia and Thailand; serves as chairman or director of several charities; and mentors several start-up businesses.
